A (potentially forever) ending
Hello everyone. Sorry to write at such a random time but I feel like I should probably adress the absence of work on my game. To be honest, I really didn’t feel like working on it anymore because I couldn’t find any new creative puzzles to design. I ran out of creative ideas for the game and feel like my puzzle systems aren’t that great after all… However, I would love to get design ideas from the community. I might finish the “custom levels loader” idea (basically you can create maps with the LDtk template) but I can’t promise much. I’m again very sorry I couldn’t finish making my game. I believe the public beta I published is up to the quality standards expected for its price. If I ever finish to work on it, you can expect your license to still work but at this time I can’t keep any promise since I’ll be getting in uni later this year.
I wish every game developer the best and I understand better the struggles that come with finishing and polishing a game especially a puzzle game. It’s hard but I wouldn’t discourage you from trying as you might stumble on a better puzzle system than what I did. Good luck out there !
PS : I’ll probably release the source code of Weirdlab Inc in the next year if I don’t find the motivation to at least finish the custom level loader.
